Is the Coton Easily Trained?

Always eager to please his owner, the Coton is easily trained.   They readily learn almost any command, provided the training is done with  positive reinforcement rather than the old  training methods that used force.  Obedience training, teaching your Coton tricks and housetraining are easily accomplished as this breed is extremely intelligent.

Lucky is one of our "grandkids", owned, loved and
exhibited by Brenda Magnon of Cowboy Cotons, he is
the only Coton in the United States with 5 breed
championships, 3 obedience and 3 agility titles - scoring
high in trial on multiple occasions. He is also a
certified therapy Dog and a Canine Good Citizen.  Loving, beautiful,
affectionate as well as extremely intelligent, Lucky
is truly a wonderful representative of our breed!
